About Hope

Our Mission: To love God as we passionately walk with Him; to have unconditional positive regard for all people; and to unite the two.

Hope Church is a Spirit-filled Pentecostal church focused on helping others realize their full potential in Jesus Christ. Through care, compassion, and love for the people that fill our community, we consistently focus on pointing people towards relationship with Jesus, instead of checklists. Hope Church hosts blood drives, serves meals, executes community events, cleans parks, and collaborates with other community service agencies.

The vision of Hope Church is to be:

  • an asset to our community
  • a sanctuary of support and healing
  • a place of real experiences with God
  • Jesus-focused; rooted in His Word

At Hope, we offer a consistent, cohesive experience featuring carefully planned music, followed by a message delivered by a prepared communicator. We comprehensively background check our internal ministers and leaders, and maintain a high level of expectations when it comes to integrity - on and off the microphone. All leaders are encouraged to continue their professional and ministerial development to become as well-rounded and effective as possible. Our team has specialty training in personality types, trauma-informed care, social work, anthropology, children's ministries, business administration, and more.

As we prepare to embark on establishing new branches and reaching various communities across the Upper Peninsula, our mission remains unwavering: love God, love people, and unite the two.

Mission Statement:
To love God as we passionately walk with Him; to have unconditional positive regard for all people; and to unite the two.

Vision Statement:

To create and operate a network of churches that: spread the hope of Jesus Christ across the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, are community assets that instill value and virtue into folks from all walks of life, inspire people to live Holy lives, and disciple others.

Goals Statement:

We will establish a Network of Churches that will passionately follow the voice and calling of God to create environments of faith where the salvation experience shall be repeated as put forth throughout the New Testament, starting with the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. We will be a safe shelter for the hurting, vulnerable, isolated, and Hopeless. We will prioritize people over money, holistically invest in others, and be rooted in our communities as a valuable asset.

CORE BELIEFS

  • About the Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)

  • About God

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father; through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)

  • About Sin and Salvation

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)

  • About the Gospel

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)

  • About Christian Living

As Christians, we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (See Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10.)

  • About the Future

Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. (See I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15.)

At Hope,  we believe in the power of togetherness - we support one another, pray for each other, and truly value everyone's contribution to our community.

It is imperative to consider the environment God has created for us, and it is our duty to keep Earth clean and sustainable for the next generations. To make this happen, we take actions in addition to prayer. Connect with us and find out how to volunteer in our area.
